Language Arts: Best Work

Hey, guys today I’m gonna show you my best work for Language Arts. When we read about Alcatraz and made an essay about if these three escapers actually survived. Hope you enjoy.

The Escape from Alcatraz is known to be true but did they make it? I say that they did make it because there was a letter written by John Angil himself that said “I escaped from Alcatraz in June 1962 with my brother Clarence Frank Morris. I’m 83 years old and in really bad shape. I have cancer. Yes, we all made it that night but barely!” The letter he wrote has claimed that Morris died in 2008 and that Clarence Anglin died in 2011. The letter was submitted to an FBI lab for forensic handwriting analysis, comparing it to samples from all the three escapes.

Receiving a card from John to his mother saying Merry Christmas in 2013. The handwriting was analyzed and believed to be theirs. Then their nephew, Dave Widner, told the newspaper “if they are not alive then why is the government still looking for them?” In a television show called the Mythbusters said that it is possible that they could have made it to their destination alive. There was a raft that was discovered with footprints leading away that could have been them.

David says his uncles could still be alive. His grandmother received roses with a card signed with their names for several years after their escape. Most of the Alcatraz escapees didn’t survive because they mostly died in the currents of the water. So Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers hatched a great plan. With the plan, there were sure to make out safely.

It was said that there was a car reported stolen which could have been the Morris and the Anglin brothers that escaped. People say that they still see sightings of the Morris and the Anglin brothers. They were able to sneak tools and resources they stole pass the guards. It was said to be the toughest guards their. They could probably get out if they are stealthy enough.

The possibility of them being alive is more than 50%. With all this evidence it shows that they could still be alive. When the letter was received it was 2013. So I say that they were able to survive and they are the only escapees from Alcatraz. It may have been hard but possible to do.

Hope you enjoyed. Bye!
