Hey, guys today I will be talking about the Bush Viper and I hope you guys enjoy!

This is an African Bush Viper which can also be called tree viper, leaf viper, rough-scaled bush viper, and green bush viper. This viper can grow up to 18-24 inches. Their maximum length can go up to 31 inches. The females are usually larger than the males to tell them apart. Their head is large, flat, and broad from the neck.

It has a prominent feature which is its rough scales on the back. Unlike other snakes, these don’t make any hissing sounds by rasping the scales of its tail. It can be found in many different colors such as red, yellow, green, orange, or combinations of these colors. These type of snakes can also change these colors in its lifespan. I guess you can say that these snakes are very different from regular ones.

This type of snake is a nocturnally active snake; otherwise, normally, it is an inactive snake. Like other vipers, it has a feature of making a surprise attack and can wait at the same place for a really long time.  It waits until the prey comes into its territory where it attacks. When the prey is in range it strikes very fast and accurately. It is said that it hangs in trees while preying.
